Salsa is our go to Mexican food joint in Alpine. The food is fairly priced and the portions are good. Try their California Supreme and California breakfast burritos are so good! The salsas are always tasty and they serve assorted roasted chili peppers. Maria the cashier is always gracious and friendly.

Would never order from here again. Prices listed online are not accurate and customer service is terrible. I ordered a carne asada burrito with no cilantro and all I got was an overpriced tortilla with microwaved frozen beef. When I called to ask why I paid $7 for just meat she suddenly could no longer hear me and hung up on me. Funny because she could hear me perfectly clear when I ordered.

Great place great food only negative thing to say is the time says they close at 10pm but they don't answer my calls past 9pm. Highly recommended

I came in just getting over the flu and needing some soup. I asked if they had Caldo de Res at $11 a bowl! The girl in the kitchen said yes. They brought me out a bowl that was filled with yellow liquid tasting like chicken with beef and vegetables in it. The soup tasted like chicken and was not fresh. The cook denied that it was chicken soup mixed with beef. Caldo is one of my favorite dishes and I eat it on a regular basis. To be fair, the tortillas, rice and vegetables were good but that yellow soup was terrible. Never again!!

Food was good, place is clean, a little expensive. They charge $0.35 to use credit cards. While your waiting for your order, they give you chips and salsa at your table.

Damn but I LOVE the mini tacos!

They have the best Mexican shrimp cocktails, overflowing with shrimp. The carrots are perfect. It's my go-to Mexican restaurant in Alpine.

The food and service were beyond our expectations. We truly enjoyed the environment of this spot. Nice spot to take the family out for dinner.

I come here at least once a week for their carne asada fries. I've never had beans in carne asada fries before this place but let me tell you it tastes amazing. Go here if you want some authentic mexican food

Be careful with the Shrimp Diablo, very hot and very spicy. Overall this is great authentic Mexican food. You really cant lose as this place has you covered with many choices. Cheese enchilada is phenomenal. Bean and cheese burrito is massive. No free chips however.

I love their Pollo Asado burrito. The chicken is actually grilled and it's complemented with guacamole and Pico de Gallo. It is not filled with fillers like rice. It's a great portion and it's main ingredient is the chicken. Love this burrito... 😍

Been coming here for years. There are a lot of choices in Alpine for taco shops, but this is one of the best. Quick stop on the way home further east.

So glad to have finally found a real authentic Mexican eatery . The food here was truely a delight . The service was undoubtedly second to non. A family owned and operated with genuine kindness and willing to serve. My experience in Alpine with service in restaurants has been less than satisfying. Until my faith was restored at this wonderful Mexican restaurant.

Carnitas burrito is decent.

Don't trust the prices listed in Postmates for this place. The price adds to 28 dollars for food and tax plus an additional 8 for fees and that is what I was quoted. The next day the receipt said the fees for Postmates were the same but the food and tax portion increased from 28 to 42 dollars. Either they lie about prices or they add 14 dollars(50 percent) taxes. In addition to this some of the food I ordered was missing and I still was charged. I ordered on 5/7/20--this part is after your response--google shows the same prices as Postmates

What a great place. Reasonably priced, nice sized portions and taste great.

Small and clean location. The pollo asado burrito was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. It's a good place for a quick bite to eat.

Most of the staff is extremely friendly and usually takes care of me. However, the lady that worked on Monday night November 11, 2019 will REGULARLY turn me away before closing hours. I understand how business hours work, running my own business, and turning away customers before business is officially over is a horrible business practice. I will come in 15 to 30 minutes before closing time and SHE will turn me away. If you can't stay open, reduce your business hours to reflect the reality of the situation. I don't like wasting my time to get to a business that should be open, to find out it is closed, not due to an issue, but due to the fact that a specific person refuses to stay open until the business closes.Everybody else will stay open, but for some reason, she will not.

Really great food. I especially enjoyed the desert and would recommend coming here.
